A Blast from the Past!

So I finally cleaned out the rest of the boxes in the basement from moving the other day and I found an old camera we had with a memory card still in it. I found some way cute pic's that I needed to journal and share with you!

This is Austin his first Halloween with us, he is 5 years old.

This is Karlee's first Halloween as well, she is 19 months old. Karlee with Jason's wig on. Jason was a mullet wearing, white trash kind of guy that year.

Karlee and my Brother's step daughter Ali. They were playing so cute that day! Karlee was pretending to feed Ali her lunch.

Austin was quite the character and he was so naughty during church. His primary teacher Margaret Harper suggested a time out after church. He fell asleep this time and he looks like a corpse in his cute church suit and sleeping with his arms folded. It made me laugh when I found him like this so I had to take a picture!

I love when kids go through the faze of pulling funny faces when you ask them to say cheese. This is Karlee going through that and it cracked me up!

I think Austin did his hair all by himself in this one. He had so much gel in it! He looks so little in this picture, it's hard to believe it was so long ago! He loved the Ninja turtles and that was his favorite shirt. He called them the enginita ninja turtles. Funny!

He was playing dress up with the girls. Isn't he lovely?!?

I can't believe these kids have been a part of our lives for 4 years now. It doesn't seem that long and then you look at past pictures and they are so little and different.

Baseball, Bowling and Dad's

This father's day weekend was a busy and wet one. It all started with Austin's first All Star baseball game on Wednesday night. He was so excited and he did such a great job! He is number 22, which he chose. Austin and his Dad both love the number 2 for some reason.Here he is in all his catcher's gear!


Saturday we decided to go to Fat Cat's and bowl and eat some yummy pizza. We had a really good time. This is Dad teaching Austin the ropes of bowling.

Karlee was nervous about the whole thing. She figured it out and had a great time! She even came in 2nd place on the score board!

Friday of last week I got a phone call from my Mom saying that my Dad was at the emergency room. I was thinking "What?". As it turns out Dad was moving his company into a new building. In the process of unloading a truck, Dad was moving a filing cabinet out and it started to fall in one direction and my Dad lost his balance and fell into another direction. He fell on to the concrete from the tailgate of the moving truck and landed on his left hip. Well it turned out to be broken and he had surgery the following Saturday morning. If any of you know my Dad, he HATES to be idle. He is always busy doing something and I think this might come close to killing him. He has to stay home for 4 weeks to recover from surgery before going back to work. Poor guy! He is being a trooper though and taking it all in stride. We went to the hospital on Father's Day to spend some time with him and hopefully to cheer him up a bit. Here he is with Austin, Karlee and Emma.

My sister came a bit later than us and her kids brought some activities to keep themselves busy while we visited with Dad. Here is Karlee, Logan, Emma and Audrey quietly reading books and coloring. Good kids!

Dad even got up while we were there with his physical therapist and took a walk. It is amazing at how fast they want you to get moving after the surgery. Dad did well and I am sure he will do great in his recovery!

We also went to visit Jason's Mom to see how she was doing. If you recall Jason's Dad passed away last August. We like to check in on her around the holiday's so she doesn't get lonely. She is doing great and had even been outside weeding her vegetable garden last week in between rain storms.

It was a great holiday spent with a great Husband and Father, my Dad and family and Jace's Mom. We love all of the Dad's who have touched our lives!

All Star Baseball

This is my handsome boy Austin. He has made it to the All Star league in baseball!! We spent 4 hours at the ball field on Monday while he got fitted for his new uniform and recieved an award for making the team. It was a long night but it was worth seeing the HUGE smile on his face!This picture is me just messing around with my camera and checking out what it can do.

Busy Weekend = Busy Summer

We thought that this would be the end of baseball, closing ceremonies and recieving a trophy......

As it turned out Austin got to try out for the Allstar team on thursday which was 2 days before closing ceremonies. We got a phone call Friday night from Austin's new coach saying that he has made it to Allstars! Way to go Austin. We are so proud of you. Round 2 of baseball has begun. After closing ceremonies Austin had his first practice as an Allstar and that lasted for 3 hours. He is going to be one busy kid for the next few weeks. He is really excited about all the new skills he will be learning from some really good coaches. I am going to be going out of my mind!! The schedule is going to be a day by day thing so I can't plan ahead for anything.......it is going to be a great experience for him and hopefully I will survive!

School's Out!

I can't believe school is out for the summer! I also can't believe it is the first week the kids are out and we aren't at the pool, this weather is crazy! I am enjoying it though while we can, I'm not quite ready for the 90's and up temperatures! Yesterday we went to the zoo and had a great time! We luckily made it home before the heaven's opened up and the down pour came! I am working today and the kids are surprisingly not killing each other yet! Tomorrow I am excited because we are going to a movie for free, can't beat free right!?! We are seeing Night at the Museum the Smithsonian and while I haven't heard the best reviews it's free and I love going to the movies so it will be fun. We aren't going on vacation this year as far as I can tell due to some medical bills still needing to be paid so we are trying to plan some fun stuff to do here in the valley we haven't done yet with the kids. Of course Lagoon is on the list, climb up to the Timpanogos caves, the swimming pool, and I was thinking about Hill Air Force to see the planes and The Treehouse museum in Ogden. Any other ideas would be great if you have them!

Roller Coaster

I am using this post merely as a record of health, so that I may be able to reflect and see of any patterns that I might need to be aware of. This last week was pretty good for a change. For a while now my emotions have been on a roller coaster and I still don't know why. I have had hot flashes, terrible headaches almost every single day, mood swings and just really bummed out for no apparent reason. My poor kids have been the brunt of my insanity lately and I feel terrible! I've had my blood drawn twice and am still waiting on the results from my doctor, she had to do a comparision so it has been drawn out over a month or so. I am grateful for Jason who has been really supportive. For a while there I thought my world would never get back to semi-normal. I am glad that things have sort of evened out and I am feeling more like myself. Hopefully my doctor will have some answers this week and I won't have to deal with this crap again!

Blame it on the rain...

Yesterday we decided to go for a walk to see where Austin was riding his bike. There were some ominous clouds outside when we left but we thought we would take the chance and see what would happen. Well a down pour happened and we ended up running home. It was a lot of fun!

The kids thought it was great playing in the rain and puddles!
