Saturday's Fun

Saturday night last weekend we went to a Bee's game with some long time friends. In prior years it was always a camp trip, then we all sold our trailers and no one wants to tent it anymore. This year we thought we'd try the Bee's game. It was so much fun! I think Jason and I stood in line for food more than we saw the game. It was so crazy with people that night! The lines were ridiculously long.

As I'm sitting here in a quiet house I can hear the school bell ring and I think "Geez I miss my kids." I can't believe that school has already started again. Where did my summer go? We had such a great time as a family the last few days of summer vacation together. I will start with Thursday of last week. As I think most of us know Jason has been working an insane amount of hours at work for a huge project his company was working on. Well Thursday it was finished and guess who came home early from work?! You got it, Jace made it home in time to come with us to Austin's football practice. We had a special surprise for the kids on Friday and niether of us could wait to tell them. Jason had arranged to take Friday off so that we could take the kids to Lagoon. They have been asking all summer to go and luckily I got some sweet $24 per person discount tickets to go. So, Friday morning as the kids are getting up and eating breakfast Austin asked if Dad went to work. Well I told a little white lie and said yes he had to. Well a little while later Dad comes out of his bedroom and says....."What should we do today? I decided I'm not going to work!" Of course this surprised the kids and they were so excited to throw out idea's of what we could do for the day. It took a few try's but finally Austin said Lagoon. Jason said ok and the kids went wild with excitement! Here are a few pictures from our fun day at Lagoon!

Thanksgiving Point

Tuesday of last week I met my sister Tina and her kids at Thanksgiving Point for some fun. The plan was to go to the Dinosaur Museum but the line was so ridiculously long because of $2 Tuesdays that we went to the Big Red Barn instead. It was warm but the kids had a great time looking at all of the animals!

Me and A-man

I want to remember this!

I just wanted to write this memory down so I don't forget it. It's neither here nor there but it's something to remember. Jason has been working a lot lately, a lot! 6 days a week and 13-16 hour days. So it's been up to me to hang out with the kids and do the household thing on my own. This last Saturday while Jason was at work and I was done with my own job I decided that we needed to do a little back to school shopping. As we were out and about I decided that I'd go and visit my Mom and Dad and spend some time there. Well of course we decided to go out to dinner. What's hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa with out a good meal right?! Karlee wanted to go in the grandparents car, Emma their cousin was with them, so it was just Austin and I in my car. Austin is finally old enough to sit in the front seat! So he took shot gun while I maneuvered our way to dinner. As kids and games in the car go they have been playing a lot of 'slug bug', 'bruiser cruiser', and 'jeep beep-beep'. So of course Austin wanted to play it with me as we were driving. I'm not sure who won but it was so much fun to have that one on one time with him. It doesn't happen very often that it is just him and I spending time together. We laughed and ouched as we would give each other dead arms during the drive. I just didn't want to forget this time with him. He is an amazing kid and I'm so glad to be his mom!

13 years ago.......

I married my best friend!

It's amazing that we have changed so much! I'm positive it's been for the better. I love you Jason so much. Thanks for a fantastic 13 years. We have been through some good and hard times together. I figure that we can make it through anything with what we've been through. I'm can't imagine life without you.
