Mrs. Ipee or is it Mississippi?

Today we were driving to get some lunch to celebrate Austin's fever breaking and Karlee saw a sign for a missing cat on the telephone pole. The kids have a teacher at school who has been missing her cat and the kids are all very aware of it. Karlee looks for these posters everywhere we go. This is how her conversation with Austin went about the cat.

Karlee- Look there's Mrs. Ipee's cat's picture!

Austin- Huh? Who's cat?

Karlee- You know the teacher at school who lost her cat?

Austin- Oh you mean Mrs. Clarks cat?

Karlee- Ya, that's whose cat it is!

Austin- Then who is Mrs. Ipee?

Karlee- I don't know....

Mom- Isn't Mrs. Ipee really a state like Utah?

Austin- (laughing) Yes, it is a state!

Karlee- (confused look on her face) Oh I thought it was the name of a teacher at school!

I about died laughing when this conversation was over! Who knew that Mississippi could be confused with Mrs. Ipee and not turn out to be a REAL person?! Poor blonde Karlee! I love that kid!

Sick

We are going into week 2 with sickness at our house. It all started last Sunday when Karlee came down with a fever.She had a sore throat and some congestion. The fever lasted until Wednesday. I thought all was well. Boy was I wrong. Thursday last week Jace called me from work and said he felt horrible. He didn't work at all Friday because of this cold he caught from Karlee. Then on it came for me and now Austin. Will it ever end? I am tired of being in solitary confinement so that we don't get anyone sick. I want to feel good again and be back to normal every day activity. Hopefully we are on the road to wellness and Austin's fever won't last as long....though he is on day 2 of having a fever so we will see.

Cookies!

The other day Karlee was so bored! Seriously, she was complaining and she is my kid that can entertain herself for hours. So I decided we should make cookies together. Boy, did that make her day! I love spending time with my baby girl!

New Years Eve Fun!

New Years Eve was a lot of fun this year. We hosted the party and it turned out great. We had a full house, lots of food, a little Rock Band, some board games, and the kids running wild!
