Teacher Thank you's and a cake for Dad

For Father's Day Jason wanted a cake for dessert. He thought it would be fun to watch the kids try to make the cake all by themselves. It was so hard not to jump in and help! They did an amazing job and it was a lot of fun to watch them and take pictures as they went. I think I was even more impressed that there wasn't a huge mess made for me to clean up. Austin took the role of head chef and read the direction's and Karlee was his assistant. They thought it was so cool to make it!

They definitely deserve 2 thumbs up! It was delicious and made Jason's day!

Now for what I did for the kids school teacher's to thank them for a great year at school. Austin gave his teacher the A&W rootbeer and wrote a thank you on the back of the card to tell his teacher how much he liked him. Karlee was so excited to give her teacher the M&M's and the card she helped make. My kids really had some good teacher's this year. It made for a much nicer school year than what we have had in the past.

St. George

We had the opportunity to have a small vacation a week ago. Thanks to some good friends who didn't mind that I literally invited ourselves to go along with them. It was a much needed vacation for me. I was very stressed and worried about this weeks cancer screening.

Of course the pool was a big hit!
Slam dunk!
The kids thought finding all the lizards was way cool.
I love visiting the St. George Temple. It has such beautiful gardens to walk through.
Of course seeing my 2 kids so happy there makes it even better!
It has been 4 years since we have taken the kids to St. George. They were 2 and almost 6 when we went. Time sure does fly and kids grow up way too fast!
Our friends the McCleve's who were so kind to let us tag along.
Trina, myself and Robbie
This short hike is so much fun to do! It takes you to this sweet ledge to look over the city of St. George. I love getting pictures of the kids having fun! From the left Jaden, Carston, Austin, Karlee and Allison.
My handsome boy Austin and his buddy Carston.
We by chance found a birds nest with brand new babies in it! We just happened to look inside some holes in the side of the mountain and there they were. The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever. I was surprised at how well the pictures turned out.
Look at their fuzzy heads!
There's mamma bird!

This is Dustin on his way into the convenience store.
This is Dustin coming out of the convenience store.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I couldn't help this one! Sorry Dustin. We saw this guy go into the store and Jason and I joked about how in 30 years this is what Dustin was going to look like! Ok, maybe not. Luckily, Trina wouldn't let that happen. :)
It was a really fast vacation and was well worth the drive.
I came home ready to face the challenge at hand.
