Tooth Fairy = Mom

Well, I found out last night that I blew it! Austin saw more than he was willing to tell the night he saw the tooth fairy. The kids at school didn't help out either, so basically mom and dad are the tooth fairy, and if Austin spills the beans for his sister he is in big trouble!!!! What a sad day when your child figures things out. Oh well, at least we don't have to be sneaky any more when the teeth fall out!

Primary songs

I was stopped in the hall today after church by a member of the primary presidency and she told me this funny story! She had taken her to the bathroom and Karlee loves to sing while she is going potty. Well, today she sang a song and these are the words I was told she sang.
"I love my primary teacher. His name is Brother Anderson, and he is so handsome! And if you don't know him he is my teacher and he is so handsome and I love him!"
Isn't that so cute! She said she couldn't help but laugh about it! I am so grateful for the primary teachers my kids have! Karlee is always asking which house is theirs when we are driving down their street. Thank you to her primary teachers for loving her, and of course, being "so handsome"!

Heffalumps, floods, and spaghetti!

I tell ya, this week has been a busy one! We are finally getting the drain fixed to my stairwell to the salon! Yay! It has been filling up with water, especially during the rain storms we have had lately, and now it won't happen! A couple weeks ago it was to the threshold and if we hadn't caught it when we did it would have flooded my salon! AAGH!

This is how they are fixing it! They are digging into my window well and adding pump to get it out and send the water some place else.

What a crazy mess! I have also had my nieces here for 3 days to help out their mom and dad. Jason's brother Darin has Lymphoma cancer again, and they have had a lot of doctor's to go see. So to help out, the girls have been here playing and entertaining Karlee! We had spaghetti last night for dinner and the little one Devin looked like this......

I was laughing so hard! It cracks me up when little ones eat spaghetti! They are SO messy when they are done! Then this morning I was busy paying the bills, ugh, and our little neighbor Jaden came over to play with Karlee. Today is his birthday and his mom was telling me about the parade for the circus coming to town at the gateway this afternoon. So, I hurried and jumped in the shower so we could meet them up there and see the "Heffalumps" and clowns! Karlee was telling me to "Hurry up! I want to see the Heffalumps!" while I was getting ready too! So funny! As we are leaving, the car wouldn't start! Dead battery! So I called Jason to figure out how to get it into neutral so that I could just take the explorer. I said that I would put the car back into the garage. Jason didn't think I could do it.

And ya know what? He was right! I don't know who I was fooling!

This is Danielle and me!

And here is the birthday boy Jaden with his best friend Karlee! It is so cute how much they just love each other! It was such a fun day!

Busy weekend

What a busy weekend it has been! It started bright and early Saturday morning with pictures for Austin's soccer team. I had to work so unfortunately no one was there to watch him play. He said he had a really good game but the other team won. It was 3 to 1. Austin really enjoy's playing sports! And apparently he likes to show off that he has no front teeth!
Sunday came and we were able to go to Tony and Beek's sacrament and be there to support them as they were confirmed members of the church.
The missionaries that were teaching the boy's were the lucky ones to do this for them!
When sacrament was over we brought all 4 boys home with us and had dinner and played.
Of course they were all over the video games and pretty much spent their time here doing that.
Jason brought out the drums for Rock Band 2 and the boy's jammed to the music!
The littlest one, Luis fell asleep before the games started and slept through the WHOLE thing!
I don't know how because if you know Jason the stereo was CRANKED!

It was fun to be able to spend some more time with all the kids! They are all getting so big, and they are so smart! Tony and Patrick were pro's at the games they played. Beek would get frustrated and give up, I think he had more fun playing with Sampson anyway! And heaven knows how grateful I am we only have 2!!!! I don't know how people do it with more kids! They are blessed with patience that I don't have I suppose. What a great weekend!

My 3 Boy's

Jason got to baptize Tony and Beek on Sunday! For those of you who may not have met them, these are our very first set of foster kids! It was so sweet to see them get baptized. They have gotten so big. They were so excited for Jason to be the one to baptize them. They even saved me a big rocking chair to sit in while they got baptized, too cute! Tony is now 9 and Beek is 8. They were 4 and 3 when we had them!! Boy, does time fly! It is so neat to be able to stay in touch with them and be apart of their lives still. What good boy's!

This is all of the kids with Jason! From the left is Patrick, Luis, Beek, Jason, Karlee, Tony and Austin! Can you imagine us having this many kids?!?! I sure can't!! What a neat day!

Tooth Fairy

I need to tell the story of how Austin almost caught the Tooth Fairy aka Mom! I got home late on Wednesday night and Jason was already asleep! You see he is the one that usually does the sneeky stuff! Any way I snuck into his room with my cell phone as the light to see where I was going. I got the tooth out but I was struggling to get the money. Well he woke up and looked right at me!! I hurried and held my cell phone to my body and just stood there in the dark for a while to make sure he fell asleep. Sure enough he did and I hurried and put the money under the pillow and shut the door quietly and went to bed. This is how the next morning went;

Austin: Mom, I got 2 dollars from the tooth fairy!

Mom: Wow! 2 Dollars!

Austin: Mom, I think I saw the tooth fairy too!

Mom: Really!?! What did she look like? (oh, crap!)

Austin: She was about this big, and she glowed!

Mom: Wow! Where did she go when you woke up? (he so saw me!!)

Austin: She just disappeared! It was dark but I could tell my door was still open....

Mom: What did you do? (am I that good?)

Austin: I was so tired I went back to sleep. When I woke up I had money and my bedroom door was closed.

Mom: (Phew! That was close!)

Ok, so all I could think was , wow I am so lucky I didn't get busted!!! I think he might have an idea that it is just us but he wants to believe in magical things so badly he won't admit that he saw me!! It was so funny! Jason about died laughing when I called to tell him! Austin lost another tooth a couple of days later. All he wants for Christmas are his 2 front teeth!

Missing a tooth?

Austin came home from school yesterday with his front tooth very loose and on top of the other front tooth.

So, I convinced him it would be a good idea to get it pulled out so it would stop hurting. He decided he wanted to try and pull it out before I got a shot at it. I love pulling teeth!!!

This is him trying it on himself! Funny face huh?!? He didn't have much success so he gave in and let me give it a try. He said it hurt too much when I tried and I said "It's ok. Take a break from it and we can try again later." We did homework and made dinner. As we were eating, I made corn on the cob without thinking of my little man's tooth, so Austin was having a hard time eating his corn. So, I got a sharp knife and started cutting it off the cob. He wanted a turn, and I took advantage of that and said " You can have a turn if you let me try again to get your tooth out." He had to think about that one for a bit and finally decided that he would let me have another shot at it. He finished eating his dinner and it was my turn!! (evil laugh) I had to chase him down a little and catch him first! How dare he change his mind! So wrapped my legs around him got the tissue ready and pulled. He cried and screamed and it was already over! I had to say "Austin, Look!" He looked and said "Oh! It's over?" I laughed and had him go rinse his mouth out and then took this picture.

Do you like how he still has food on his face? And look at that sad tear in his eye! He is such a tough kid to let his mom torment him like that!

First days of School!

Austin's first day of school was last Monday. It was such a busy week with getting ready for my father-in-law's funeral that I am just now getting to it! Austin was very excited! I walked him to school, at least got this picture and he was off to find his buddies and go to get in line for class. I hollered at him after I was done visiting with a neighbor to say "good bye" to him and he barely even noticed me! SO, I did what any mom would do.... I embarrassed him by yelling "I Love You, have a good day!"

Now for Karlee's big day! She started preschool today.....my baby is so big! She was really excited and could hardly wait for lunch so that we could go! We left for school and got there a 1/2 hour early!! Apparently I overlooked school times, so we went to the store and then to the park to pass the time. We went back (at the right time) and her teacher greeted all of the kids. I gave her a kiss and I left. What to do with 2 1/2 hours of peace???? It will take some getting used to that's for sure!
